LEFT ALIVE

Since Lefty and Vika first began working together in Chicago 5 years ago, their growth as friends has paralleled their artistic capabilities and curiosity. Inspiring each other, they began pursuing higher concepts with bigger teams and increased technology.

The duo joined together to create "Left Alive"- 12 new works that push their creative limits while capturing their unified vision. Taking place over the last 6 months between Chicago and LA, both artists were involved every step of the way, from conceptualization and production down to the handcrafted assembly of each piece.

What started with a camera, a model, and some paint has transformed into a multi-disciplinary showcase.

Vika Petlakh

Vika Petlakh aligns her art with her way of life: natural, boundless, experimental, raw and occasionally outlandish. At the age of sixteen, she choose to hone her craft with a hands-on approach versus a formal art education. This paved the way for her ever- expanding comfort zone empowering her to explore and experiment with a diverse range of approaches to a visual medium.

Her work spans globally and embodies everything from art direction, commercial campaigns, creative branding to fine art and fashion photography.

Vika’s art and approach resonates with her audience evoking a sense of familiarity, and raw emotional connection unique to each viewer. Through her provocative portfolio and imaginative lens into the world as we know it, each viewer is invited to experience a new window into humanity.

Lefty Out There

Lefty Out There (Franco Campanella) does not have a formal art education. He did not sit through hours of Renaissance history slides, learn about composition and iconography or try to interpret famous works. Instead, he doodled and created.

His languid, organic lines transcended thought to become reality upon every available scrap he could find. Scratch paper turned to wheat paste, and doodles turned into creations as his lines slowly began to cover cities like Los Angeles, Miami, New York, and his native Chicago.

Lefty developed a name--and a brand--for himself that extends far beyond squiggles on a sticker.

His humble beginnings in what some call graffiti have evolved into a profound body of work. He’s put his signature mark on campaigns, murals, installations, textiles, new media, and furniture, in addition to a rapidly growing portfolio of progressive fine art. Now, Lefty’s squiggles can be seen around the world in many shapes and sizes with the ultimate purpose to COVER EVERYTHING.
